High Challenge.....High Success continues to be the theme for the 2007-2008 school year. Students are encouraged to challenge themselves to perform to the best of their ability in all facets of their education. It is the job of the HCHS Faculty and Staff to help students reach their full potential. Students are encouraged to realize they each have a "TEAM" of supporters: Teachers, Parents/Relatives, Friends, Church Families, Coaches---A team of supporters who encourage and support that student to remain focused on positive goals.

The 2007-2008 School Year will begin with a new Bell Schedule. Most Math & Science Classes will meet each day throughout the entire school year. This will allow for Math/Science teachers and students to better-prepare for TAKS testing scheduled the first week of May. ZERO HOUR (7:55-8:20) is also a new addition to the schedule. Tutorials/Class Meetings/Club Meetings/UIL Practice/etc. will be scheduled during this time. We are hoping to utilize ZERO HOUR efficiently, while keeping classroom interruptions throughout the instructional day to a minimum...

Each student has been given a HCHS Calendar/Plan Book. It is our hope that students will use these calendar books to remind them of assignments and important testing dates, etc. Please ask your student to show you this book---it will be one way you can show support and be aware of what is going on....
