Carr Middle School




Carr Middle Schools 8th Grade Graduation will be on May 30th at 7:00 pm in the High School Auditorium.

We will be having early release on May 30th at 12:30 pm.

CMS Summer School will be June 16th-July 3rd from 8:00 - 12:00 at the Akin campus. Breakfast will be served at 7:30 and lunch will be served at 12:00


Students will report for the 2008-2009 school year on August 25th.



2008-09 School Year
5th AND 6TH Grade Supply List

#2 pencils – no mechanical
Hand Held Pencil Sharpener (no battery or electric ones)
Pens – blue or black for class work
Red for grading
Wide-ruled notebook paper
3 boxes of Kleenex
Heavy duty pencil pouch (no plastic – it will not last)
1 – expandable file (make sure it is heavy duty so it will last)
Scissors
Highlighter (color is you choice)
Dry Erase Marker (color is your choice)
Ruler
Glue or glue sticks
Map pencils (12 count only)
1 inch notebook for math
Set of 5 tabbed dividers for math
Red 2 pocket folder with brads for Reading
One box of Baggies:
Girls – quart size baggies
Boys – gallon size baggies

8th GRADE ENGLISH/READING
Folder w/ brads and pockets

SOCIAL STUDIES

NOTE: A ZIPPERED NOTEBOOK/Trapper Keeper IS NOT REQUIRED OR RECOMMENDED; Students find it easier to carry a pencil pouch/box to each class with the required smaller notebook or folder and their textbook.

CMS student of the week is Victoria G. She is a 7th grader and was nominated by Mrs. Thomas who says "Victoria is always willing to help me in the office with whatever i need. SHe is always couteous and has a very positive attitude."
